Biography
Glenn Keenan is a Ballet Master and former dancer with New York City Ballet. Born in New York, New York, Ms. Keenan began her ballet training at the age of eight at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet. In June 2000, she became an apprentice with New York City Ballet, and in October 2000 she became a member of the corps de ballet. As a dancer with NYCB, Ms. Keenan performed featured roles in a variety of ballets by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, and Peter Martins, and originated corps roles in works by Susan Stroman, Richard Tanner, and Christopher Wheeldon. In 2010, she retired from dancing and became a Ballet Master with NYCB, where she oversees works by Balanchine and Robbins, and has been involved in the creation of new ballets by choreographers Nicolas Blanc, Peter Martins, Justin Peck, Liam Scarlett, Troy Schumacher, and Susan Stroman.
