Biography
Born in Fiesole (Florence) in 1980, he graduated at the Conservatorio “Luigi Cherubini” in Florence. Acclaimed in bel canto repertoire and as a Rossinian specialist, Filippo has established an international career, performing regularly on the world’s most prestigious concert stages and opera houses including Teatro alla Scala, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro, Staatsoper in Berlino, Barbican Center in London, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Festival Mozart de la Coruña, Teatro Arriaga de Bilbao, De Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, Opéra Royal de Wallonie de Liège, Novaya Opera in Moscow and Rossini in Wildbad Festival. Filippo has also previously worked with conductors such as Alberto Zedda, Alan Curtis, Andrea Marcon, Richard Bonynge and Michele Mariotti.In 2014 he made his debut at the Bolshoi THeatre as Elvino (La Sonnambula).
