Biography
In 2016 graduated from the Saratov State Conservatoire named after Leonid Sobinov (Lilia Belova’s class). While a student he debuted as Venetian Guest (Sadko by Rimsky-Korsakov) on the stage of the Saratov Opera and Ballet, where he soon performed the title part in Don Giovanni by Mozart.
In 2015-2019 Andrei Potaturin became the soloist with the Saratov Opera and Ballet. His repertoire includes the roles of Figaro (Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro), Figaro (Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia), title part (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Robert (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), Barinkai (Strauss’ Der Zigeunerbaron), Count Danilo (Léhar’s Die lustige Witwe), Mister X (Kálmán’s Die Zirkusprinzessin), Dr Falke (Strauss’ Die Fledermaus).
Since April 2019, he has been a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.
