Biography
Born in Batumi (Georgia), Goderdzi studied piano and trumpet at the music school and choral conducting at the Batumi Z. Paliashvili Music CollegeIn 2003-10, he joined the Adjarian Song and Dance State Company.
In 2007-10, he was a soloist with the Batumi Opera Studio, where sang Doctor Grenvil in Verdi’s La Traviata and Tsangala in Paliashvili’s Daisi.
In 2010-15 — a soloist with the State Academic Ensemble Rustavi of Georgian Folk Song and Dance.
In 2015-16, Goderdzi Janelidze joined the Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Program.
In 2017-18, he was soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.

In 2016, Goderdzi Janelidze performed Banco (Verdi’s Macbeth) at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus (Minsk) within the framework of the Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum.He participated in Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Cherubini’s Médée (Creonte) at the Al Bustan International Festival of Music & Performing Arts (Beirut, Lebanon).
In July 2017, he debuted as Zaretsky and Captain in Eugene Onegin concert performance on the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company tour to Aix-en-Profence and Savonlinna Opera Festivals (conductor – Tugan Sokhiev).
