Awards

In 1991, she won lst prize at the Mikhail Glinka All-Union Competition of Singers.
In 1994, she won lst prize at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky International Competition.


						

Biography

Born in Moscow. In 1981, she graduated from the conducting-chorus department of the Gnesin Music College. She started to train as a singer in 1983. In 1991, she completed her studies at the vocal faculty (G.Troyanova — L.Yaroslavtseva’s class) of the Gnesin State Music-Pedagogical Institute (today the Russian State Academy of Music).
In 1992, she was accepted as a probationer at the Bolshoi Theatre. In 1994, she was promoted to Opera Company soloist.

She has appeared in the USA (Carnegie Hall), Chile, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Greece, England, Austria, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia.
In 1992, she took part in the Bolshoi Theatre and Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa) co-production of Prince Igor.
She sang the title role in Turandot at Estonia National Opera, Theater Basel, Sofia Opera and Ballet, Mariinsky Theatre, Polish National Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Macedonia.
She sang the part of Tatiana (Eugene Onegin) for Santiago Opera (Chile), the title role in Aida for Opera Nantes, Yaroslavna (Prince Igor) at the Santander International Festival (Spain), Susanna (Khovanshchina) at the Paris National Opera.
