Awards

2006 — he received the 1st prize (in one of the age groups of lassics category) at the International choreographic festival-competition for children and youth The Dancing Olympus (Berlin).

2008 — he won the 1st prize at the Open competition of Russian ballet dancers Arabesque in Perm, also he became the recipient of Marius Petipa prize established by The Ural Perl — the Perm Non-governmental foundation for support and development of the Perm Opera and Ballet theatre n.a. P.I. Tchaikovsky and the Press Jury prize For adherence to Moscow school of classical dance traditions;
the same year he won the youth grant of the award Triumph.
2009 — he won a Special prize To the best partner at the XI International  Ballet Competition in Moscow, and was awarded the Ballet magazine Soul of Dance prize (The Rising Star nomination).
2012 — The Best Duet (with Anna Tikhomirova) title of the Bolshoi Ballet project (TV, Russia – Kultura channel).
In November 2013, was voted "Dancer of the Month" by British magazine Dansing Times.
2020 – The Golden Mask National Theatre prize for his interpretation of the part of Leontes in The Winter’s Tale. 


						

			
Biography

			

	 Born in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine). He began to study dance at Dnepropetrovsk Ballet School, then he entered the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (class of Alexander Bondarenko). 

	 In 2007, after graduation from MCA he joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company where he started to rehearse with Nikolai Tsiskaridze. Then he rehearsed under Nikolai Fadeyechev. Now his master-repetiteur is Victor Barykin.

Tours

			In 2011, he appeared as Phoebus in La Esmeralda (production by Y. Burlaka and V. Medvedev) with the Berlin State Ballet (Yana Salenko as Esmeralda). 


 


 In 2015, he performed the part of Armand in Lady of the Camellias (choreography be J. Neimeier) with Bavarian State Ballet (Daria Sukhorukova as Marguerite); 


 performed Count Albrecht at the XIII festival In Honor of Galina Ulanova (Yoshkar-Ola) with the ballet company of Sapaev Mari State Opera and Ballet Theatre (Olga Chelpanova as Giselle); 


 also performed Prince Siegfried at the XLIII May Opera Evenings festival with Macedonian Ballet (Skopje, Nina Kaptsova as Odette/Odile). 


 


 In December 2015 – January 2016, performed Romeo’s part in Jean-Christophe Maillot’s production of Casse-Noisette Compagnie to music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and B. Maillot with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo (Olga Smirnova as Juliet) – creation at Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. 


 


 2017 – Student in Anyuta with the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre Company in the framework of the Nureyev Ballet Festival (Kazan). 


 


 2018 – Armand Duval in Lady of the Camellias with the Hamburg Ballet (Alina Cojocaru as Marguerite Gautier ); 


 Kostya in The Seagull (choreography by John Neumeier, to music by Dmitri Shostakovich, Evelyn Glennie, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Alexander Scriabin, based on Anton Chekhov’s play) with the Hamburg Ballet and within Hamburg Ballet’s tour at the Theater an der Wien (Alina Cojocaru as Nina Mikhailovna Zarechnaya).
