Biography

She was born in Tbilisi. In 1992-95 she studied at Tbilisi Ballet School (class of S. Tvarelishvili) wherefrom she was moved to the Moscow Choreographic Academy. While studying at the Academy (1999-2001) she was a holder of a Maris Liepa fellowship. In 2000 she danced the 7th waltz and The Prelude in the school performance Chopiniana on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.
After graduation in 2001 (Irina Syrova class) she joined the Ballet Company of the Bolshoi Theater.
Her teacher-repetiteur is Marina Kondratieva.

In 2003 she took part in the IX Rudolph Nureyev International Festival of Classical Ballet, in Ufa and the 1st All-Russia festival “The young ballet of Russia” in Krasnodar.

Since 2002 she has been constantly cooperating with the “Russian Ballet” theater under the guidance of V. Gordeev. There she dances in Chopiniana (The 7th waltz and Prelude, 2002), The Sleeping Beauty (Lilac Fairy), The Lively Garden scene (Le Corsaire by A. Adam, choreography by Marius Petipa, Medora, 2004)

In 2005 she appeared in the title role in Giselle by A. Adam in Bashkir state opera and ballet theater (partner — Karl Pakett, the principal dancer of Opéra National de Paris)

In 2006 she danced the same role in the Mari El Republic state opera and ballet theater n.a. Erik Sapaev (Yoshkar-Ola) and also Nikia (La Bayadère, production by S. Bobrov; Solor — Mark Peretokin) in the performance of Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theater during “The Stars of the Bolshoi Ballet” festival.
